# Create a text template

1. Tap the three horizontal lines in the top-left corner.

2. Tap **Text Templates**.

3. Tap **Add (+)** in the lower-right corner.

4. Type a title and description. The text you type in the *Description* field will become your template.<br>

5. Under the *Scopes* section, check the box next to report areas where you want the text template to be available for use (image descriptions, text blocks, and sections.). Uncheck the box anywhere you don't want the text template to appear.&#x20;

6. Tap **Save** in the lower-right corner.&#x20;

7. The text template will now appear in your list and can be [used in reports](/manual/report-and-run-integrate/customization/text-templates/use-a-text-template.md).
